The Evermore's Story...
The Evermore, formerly the MacKenzie-Childs Estate, has been lovingly restored and is now open to guests. The original farmhouse is from 1780 and many of the rough hewn beams, wide plank floors and lath and plaster walls are still present. You will also discover the magical and unexpected touches from artists, Victoria and Richard MacKenzie-Childs, who lived here for 30 years and used the home as a canvas for their whimsical line of ceramics and housewares. The carriage house was built in 1993 and breathes old world charm. The Evermore is nestled down a cobbled driveway with beautiful grounds that maintain a rustic elegance in the middle of farmland overlooking Cayuga Lake.
The owners live in the farm house and are available to assist with any needs. For the well-being of our guests, The Evermore is a drug, smoke, and alcohol-free property. We welcome you to come and enjoy the peace and restorative beauty and comfort of this unique home.
